Floating Islands and Abandoned Places

Finally figured out what to build next...gonna go for a moderately sized floating island...just ripped from the ground and floating around...maybe a small mountain on it...cavern...maybe some ruins...etc...etc...it's gonna be a pretty big project but I'm all up for it.

That's for those who give a damn about my Minecraft builds. XD For those of you who do...I really appreciate it. ^^ I have fun building them.

Second topic...I've kind of figured something out about myself.

I have a rather large obsession with abandoned places...like houses, mansions, castles, amusement parks, hospitals/asylums, and just anything to be brutally honest. Anyone who follows me on Tumblr could tell ya the same...I reblog nearly every abandoned gif set I find and follow a dozen or more abandoned blogs.

I don't know why...I just find grim beauty in something that's been forgotten about for years or decades or centuries even. Time I wonder why such a thing would be abandoned...then sometimes I dream of going there and poking around the place to see what I could find. Nothing to keep of course...just to explore and experience it all.

Heh...and all these haunted places...I'd love to go there and just spend a few nights. I don't really believe in ghosts at all but it'd be fun to listen to everyone tell me "DON'T GO IN THERE!! IT'S HAUNTED!!" then just go in the place anyways and freak everyone out.

Despite my disbelief in ghosts, though, I do love a good ghost story (if it's not too entirely generic...I mean, shit be CREATIVE dammit) and rather like hearing some lore about haunted places...again, if it's not too generic...which I find many on tv to be...it's rather sad really.

Hmm...I do have a few stories that deal with the such in production/in wait...maybe I could churn one of those out in the future.
